RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced today their week nine player and pitcher of the week. Topping the list is Southern Arkansas' own Eli Hutcherson.
 
The senior right-hander had a career performance this past weekend in game one against Henderson State. The Cabot, Arkansas native, threw nine innings in a complete game shutout effort striking out 10 batters while facing the minimum in five of his nine innings pitched. Hutcherson only surrendered two hits in the outing while walking one hitter and hitting another. The most amount of hitters he faced in an inning was five.
