RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — With week two of the 2026 DII softball season in the books, the Great American Conference (GAC) has released its weekly honors for the league's softball groups. Being named this week's Pitcher of the Week is Emma Duncan. The grad is the Muleriders' first weekly honor in the league this season. 

The Canadian earned the honor after pitching two complete games with 14.0 innings pitched under her belt, in which she allowed just four hits against 52 batters faced while also yielding only two runs with one earned. The biggest highlight of Duncan's weekend came in the Blue and Gold's first outing of the Alvy Early Memorial Classic against St. Edward's, as she pitched a no-hitter against the Hilltoppers. The no-hitter accounted for by Duncan goes down as Mulerider Softball's 23rd recorded in the program's history. After Duncan's two complete games, the grad recorded a 0.50 ERA for the weekend.

The Muleriders next bit of action is their last for pre-conference tournaments, as Southern Arkansas will travel to Tahlequah, Oklahoma for four matchups with groups out of the MIAA in the MIAA/GAC Crossover.
