Wyatt Fielding. In his first action with the Muleriders, Fielding finished his weekend 3-for-9 at the plate, totaling two runs, one double, and one home run. His home run came in his first-ever at-bat with the Blue and Gold. In total, he totaled seven total bases, two walks, a .455 OBP, .778 slugging percentage, and 1.233 OPS.
>>> Nate June was also a bright spot for the Muleriders on the mound. June came on in relief and threw 4.2 innings of work, allowing four hits and two runs, only one of which was earned. June also struck out two hitters while opponents hit .267 against him. June finished the weekend with a 1.93 ERA

>>> This weekend's series will be the first action of the year for Maryville. Last season, the Saints recorded a 29-22 overall finish and were 21-10 in conference play. The Saints also went two and out in the GLVC tournament last season to end the year.
>>> The Saints return three starters from last year's squad. Jace Burton returns this season after ending last year as the top hitter for Maryville. Burton started in 41 games while playing in 42, finishing with a .380 batting average. He totaled 49 hits in 129 at-bats, four doubles, three triples, one home run, 18 RBI, 62 total bases, .481 slugging percentage, 21 walks, and a .468 on-base percentage.
