MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas University Muleriders (6-5, 2-1 GAC) are set to host the Southern Nazarene University Crimson Storm (4-7, 0-3 GAC) for a three-game series this weekend in the first league action at home for the Muleriders.

>>> The Muleriders have lost two series to the Crimson Storm and at one point rode a 12-game win streak over SNU. Last season, SAU won the series in Bethany, Oklahoma behind some big-time offensive numbers, scoring 36 runs combined in their two wins.
 
>>> SAU has pulled back above the .500 mark for the first time this season after dropping their first four games of the season. SAU are winners of six of their last seven games to pull back above .500 for the first time this year.

>>> The Muleriders earned their first GAC Player of the Week honor this week as Eli Hutcherson won Pitcher of the Week for his outing against Delta State. Hutcherson then put on a clinic against Arkansas Tech going 8.2 innings allowing two runs, no walks and eight strikeouts.
 
>>> Hutcheson leads the team in ERA with a mark of 4.26, pitched innings with 19, and strikeouts with 19.

>>> The Crimson Storm come into the weekend with a 4-7 overall record and 0-3 record in GAC play after being swept in their opening weekend meeting with UAM. The Crimson Storm split each of their four-game series to open the year in non-conference play against New Mexico Highlands and Southwest Baptist before falling to UAM in all three games.
 
>>> Blake Brinkmeyer leads the team in batting average with a mark of .444 through 11 games played. Josh Bay leads the offense in home runs with five while Kane Springer leads in RBI's with 13.
