RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas University Muleriders Baseball team has been selected third in the Great American Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.
 
The Muleriders finished last season with a 31-21 record and 22-11 in GAC play finishing the regular season in second.
 
SAU finishes third in the poll behind Arkansas Tech (1st) and Harding (2nd). All six Arkansas Teams make up the top six teams in the poll with all Oklahoma Schools in the bottom six spots.
 
Justin Pettigrew begins his ninth season at the helm of the program with a brand new team as no starting position players return for the 2026 season while the pitching staff also took a hit losing two of three weekend starters in Jeremy Adorno and Beau Leonards.
