RUSSELLVILLE. Ark. – The Great American Conference (GAC) announced its weekly honors for volleyball. For the league's defensive player of the week, Mulerider senior Sadie Kabisch was selected as the GAC's Defensive Player of the Week after an impressive five-game week.
 
The Henrietta, Texas native is the first Mulerider Volleyball player to earn a weekly superlative by the league since the 2023 season, when Lauryn Moultrie was tabbed the conference Week 8 co-defensive player of the week. This honor also marks the senior's first-ever GAC weekly honor
 
Kabisch, the Muleriders' defensive specialist and libero, had herself a terrific week starting inside the W.T. Watson Center and finishing in Kingsville, Texas. The senior recorded a 100 dig week with at least 15 digs in each match. Kabisch tallied a week high of 22 digs in the Blue and Gold's sweeping victory over the Bridgeport Purple Knights.
 
Southern Arkansas now prepares to take on the reigning Great American Conference Champions in the Ouachita Baptist Tigers, on Tuesday night inside the W.T. Watson Center at 6:00 PM.
