Chambers Highlights Muleriders with Second Team All-GAC Honor

Marlee Bright named Elite Scholar Athlete with Riley Stanford and Chloe Wilbanks making the GAC Honor Roll

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — With the conclusion of the basketball regular season, the Great American Conference has announced its end of the year honors with the All-GAC First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mentions being made known along with individual honors and academic honors.

For the Mulerider Women, Te'Quaza Chambers was announced to the All-GAC Second Team, Marlee Bright was named an Elite Scholar Athlete, and Riley Stanford and Chloe Wilbanks were both named to the GAC Honor Roll.

Chambers, a senior out of Plain Dealing, Louisiana, led the Muleriders in nearly every offensive category this season as Qua led the unit in scoring with 406 points (6th GAC), 14.5 points per game (7th GAC), 47.6 field goal percentage (2nd GAC), 150 field goals made (6th GAC), 83 free throw percentage, and 83 free throws made (8th GAC).

The senior was one of the major parts of the Muleriders' success in the second half of the season as she recorded seven 20+ point games this campaign with six of those coming after the Christmas break and four of them coming in the month of February. Speaking of the month of February, Qua nearly ran the table offensively in the conference for the second month of the year as she accounted for 158 points in the month of February. For four-straight weeks, the senior produced 40 points up until the last full week of February. Staying in that month, Qua was the only basketball player to claim multiple GAC Offensive Player of the Week plaudits for both the men and women's leagues.

Being named an Elite Scholar Athlete was Marlee Bright. A junior out of Amity, Arkansas, Bright not only balled on the court, but also was a baller in classroom as the junior boasted a perfect 4.0 thus far into the school year.

At the end of the 2024-2025 regular season, the junior accounted for an assist/turnover ratio of 2.52 (1st GAC | 2nd Central Region | 5th DII), 141 assists (1st GAC | 5th Central Region | 20th DII), 5.0 assists per game (1st GAC | 5th Central Region | 20th DII), 88 steals (1st GAC | 1st Central Region | 8th DII), and 3.14 steals per game (1st GAC | 1st Central Region | 9th DII).

The junior was also named the GAC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season with one before and after the Christmas break. Not only was Bright recognized by the GAC for her play, but the Amity native was also named to the November NCAA DII All-Stats Starting Five.

Last, but certainly not least, the Muleriders see two members of their unit make the GAC Honor Roll as Riley Stanford and Chloe Wilbanks both are recognized for their work in the classroom.

Stanford saw action in all 28 contests up to this points as the Benton, Louisiana native accounted for a 3.85 GPA and is majoring in Exercise Science.

Wilbanks saw action in all 28 games as well and started in one contest. The Leesville, Louisiana native has so far recorded a 4.0 GPA and is majoring in Exercise Science.
