RICHARDSON, Texas – The Southern Arkansas University Muleriders (3-2 GAC) defeated the UT-Dallas Comets by a final score of 100-79. "We were concerned with UTD's size and length," remarked Head Coach
Mark Rutledge when asked about his thoughts on the game. "They run a zone defense for most of the game which really fits their personnel. They are well coaches and play extremely hard. Our guys stayed together through some early adversity. Road games are extremely difficult to win. Proud of how our guys fought."
Greg Moore Jr. and Junior Williams led the scoring for SAU with 20 points each. Altogether, SAU had six players score in double digits.
Jair Horton led the way with seven rebounds. As a team, the Muleriders shot 53.7% from the field, 50% from three-point range, and 90.9% from the free throw line.
