>>> The Mulerider men come into Saturday's matchup riding some early momentum after going 1-1 at the Central Region Challenge in Pittsburg, Kansas just one week ago. The win at the Central Region Challenge is the Muleriders first win in an opening season challenge since the Muleriders beat the University of Mary in 2018 at the GAC/NSIC Challenge.
 
>>> The Muleriders are already seeing early dividends of solid recruiting to begin the season as their top seven-point scorers were either brought in via the transfer portal or came in as a fresh­man. Greg Moore Jr., a transfer guard from Mississippi Valley State currently leads the Blue and Gold with 26 points transfers JaKourion Key and Troy'reon Ramos follow closely behind with 25 and 24 points respectively. Freshman Junior Williams also recorded the only double-double so far this season for the Muleriders which he did in his first career collegiate game. Williams and transfer Jair Horton also lead the team in rebounds with 13 each.
 
>>> The Muleriders are currently shooting 38% from the field, 33% from three-point range, and 72% from the free throw line while also outrebounding their opponents 83-69. Greg Moore Jr. is currently 11-11 a perfect 100% from the free throw line.
 
>>> The men have also forced 26 turnovers this season while collecting 10 steals. The Blue and Gold are also averaging 72 points per game through two games this season.
 
RSU Notables
>>> The Hillcats come into the matchup with a 2-1 overall record. RSU played Ouachita Baptist in their first game of the season and fell to the Tigers by a final score of 54-64 then going on to defeat Harding by a final score of 88-61.
 
>>> Jabryn Anderson and Tim Jordan Jr. are the two leading scorers for the Hillcats both with 23 points through three games. Caden Fry trails closely behind with 19 points followed by Andrew Mason with 18.
 
>>> Caden Fry is the Hillcats top rebounder with 12 total rebounds this season and averages six per game. Damondre McKnight is the assist leader with six assists.
