Muleriders Cruise Past Lady Buccaneers with Solid Performances all-around

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — On the road in "Home of the Blues", the Southern Arkansas University Women's Basketball Team dominated the Christian Brothers University Lady Buccaneers, cruising to a 66-45 victory. The Muleriders controlled the game from start to finish, outscoring CBU in each quarter and holding a 32-24 lead at halftime.

Southern Arkansas' offensive attack was led by senior Addy Tremie, who scored a game-high 18 points. Tremie shot an efficient 50% from the field (7-14) and was especially sharp from beyond the arc, connecting on 4 of 8 three-point attempts. Her scoring helped the Muleriders build a comfortable cushion over the Lady Buccaneers, and her shooting ability stretched CBU's defense throughout the game.

In support of Tremie's effort, senior guard Tequaza Chambers delivered another strong performance, contributing 16 points. Chambers was nearly perfect from the field, hitting 6 of 8 shots, and was flawless from three-point range, going 3-3. Her sharpshooting played a key role in extending Southern Arkansas' lead, particularly in the second half.

Marlee Bright also had a standout performance, scoring 14 points and contributing across the board with 9 rebounds, 8 assists, and 5 steals. Bright's all-around play was a crucial factor in the Muleriders' victory, as she helped facilitate the offense while also providing energy on the defensive end.

The Lady Buccaneers struggled to keep pace with Southern Arkansas' balanced scoring and defensive pressure. Despite solid efforts from their individual players, CBU was unable to mount a serious challenge after halftime. The Muleriders' defense limited Christian Brothers to just 21 points in the second half, and their ability to execute offensively made it difficult for the Lady Buccaneers to close the gap.

With the win, Southern Arkansas improved their record to 3-0 while continuing to build momentum towards Great American Conference competition. The team's strong team-oriented play, led by Tremie, Chambers, and Bright, highlighted their depth and versatility, as they were able to pick apart CBU on both ends of the floor. The Muleriders' dominant performance sets a positive tone as they look ahead to the rest of their season.

The Blue and Gold now prepare for home-play as the Muleriders will see the Patriots of Arlington Baptist on Saturday inside the W.T. Watson Center at 3:00 PM.
