Mulerider Tennis earns four titles at GAC Individual Championships

SEARCY, Ark. - Mulerider Men's and Women's Tennis capped off their 2024-2025 fall season this weekend in Searcy, Arkansas as they competed at the Great American Conference Individual Championships. The Muleriders added four more titles this fall as Amelie Gindl, Josie Holderbach, Mathys Pinoit, and Maria Fiacan all claimed individual singles titles. 

Gindl finished the first part of her sophomore season by adding another title to her name which totaled four titles this fall. In the semifinal of Flight 1, Gindl battled against last year's GAC Freshman of the Year Sadbaroy Kholdarova (Ouachita Baptist) in three sets 7-6 (7-5), 6-4, 10-4 before topping Harding's Alexia Zarate Valdez 6-1, 6-0 in the final. 

Holderbach played in the tournament's Flight 2 bracket and claimed her title as she topped Elis Gergel from Arkansas Tech 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 before cruising past Harding's Karli Roux 6-2, 6-0. 

Pinoit went 3-0 over the weekend in Flight 2 and claimed his title without dropping one set. He topped Southeastern's Luke Tinnock 6-4, 7-5, Ouachita Baptist's Elias Lagger 6-4 ret. (inj), and Harding's Cian Mikkelsen 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) to finish off the fall season. 

Fiacan won both her matches in straight sets against Southeastern's Larissa Giraldi Correa 6-2, 6-1 and Madison Stafford from Harding 6-3, 6-4 to claim her second title this fall. 

Southern Arkansas also saw success in the doubles Flights as the team had four doubles teams finishing as runner-ups including Frode Neumann/Lluc Pasqual, Tim Fischer/Pinoit, Gindl/Fiacan, and Holderbach/Roksana Kokocha

The Mulerider Women have shown off great performance this fall season and are currently holding a record of a total of 60 wins and 24 losses in singles action. Gindl is sitting on an impressive 16-2 record for her efforts in singles play, while Fiacan and Kokocha are at 10-2 and 10-3 respectively. In doubles play the women have combined for 36 wins and 25 losses. 

The Mulerider Men has collected a total of 39 singles wins and 34 losses this season with Fischer, who placed third at the ITA Central Region Championships, at a record of 10-4, and Jinsei Tajima with an 8-3 record on the singles court. In doubles action, the men have combined for a total of 32 wins and 31 losses.
