Southern Arkansas Notes
*In typical midweek fashion, the Muleriders looked to Johnny Wholestaff to take care of responsibilities on the mound. Micah Burke started things off for SAU with a one hit first inning that saw one run. Burke may have allowed a run in his outing, but the sophomore worked out of a bases loaded situation to strand the first Reddies of the night on base. Landon McAllister took things over in a second inning appearance that saw zero runs on one hit. Hayden Hable additionally had to work himself out of a bases loaded situation in the third after walking two and hitting one. The sophomore forced a lineout from the sixth batter he faced to draw a close to the inning and strand all three Reddie base runners. Jake Uber's fourth inning saw one unearned run on one solo hit. Kaleb Misnoski allowed one run on one hit, a solo homerun hat represented run number three for the Reddies. Chance Bolter allowed one run on one hit in the sixth inning. Jack Liddell was the solo Mulerider to tackle more than a single inning. The senior tossed the seventh and eighth innings where he allowed zero runs on one hit while striking out four. Santos Sosa wrapped things up for the Muleriders, tossing a ninth inning that saw one hit, zero runs and two strikeouts.
*A perfect read off the bat from Chris Lyles allowed the Muleriders to hold Henderson State to a solo run in the fourth. An absolute missel from Lyles to Bradon Nicoll saw Southern Arkansas their third out of the inning to strand yet another Reddie base runner.
*A solo shot off the bat of Brett McGee got the Muleriders on the board in the bottom of the sixth. McGee's home run represented his eight of the season, a figure that leads the Mulerider squad.
Henderson State Notes
*Six Reddies combined for the Tuesday night win. Three pitchers saw hitless outings while the group combined for 10 strikeouts.
*The Reddies found their way onto the board early tonight, scoring the first run of the day in the first inning. Greyson Stevens and Luke Rice drew back-to-back one-out walks before an RBI single off the batt of Kaden Argenbright sent Stevens home.
*Luke Farrar reached on a dropped fly by the left fielder and advanced to second on the error. Rice singled through the left side to play his teammate and the second Reddie run of the night.
*The Reddie runs seemed to keep coming in ones- Henderson's Colton Patterson smoked a home to right field to give HSU a three-run lead going into the bottom of the fifth.
*Henderson State added on yet another solo run in the sixth when Logan Cowart stole home after reaching base originally on a hit by pitch.
