OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Southern Arkansas University Men's golf team shot a 324 on the first day of the Broncho Invitational, hosted by Central Oklahoma. They end the first round in 12^th place out of 14 teams. The Muleriders were scheduled to play two rounds today (36 holes), but were only able to play 18 due to a delayed start in the tournament due to freezing temperatures this morning.
 
Senior Roman Timmerman leads the Muleriders after round one as he is tied for 17^th place after firing a 76.  Sophomore Caleb Miller finished two strokes behind Timmerman with a 78 in round one as he finished the day tied for 27^th place.
 
Freshman Tyler Garrett fired an 84 in round one finishing the day tied for 62^nd place while Logan McDonald and Connor Harrington finished two strokes behind Garrett with an 86 in round one, finishing the day tied for 68^th.
 
Timmerman finished the day with a +1 on all par three scoring opportunities and +2 on all par four scoring opportunities. Miller finished the day with a +1 one all par three scoring opportunities and +2 on all par four scoring opportunities. McDonald finished even on all par five scoring opportunities. All of these individual statistics are within the top half of the leader board.
