COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Southern Arkansas Women's Tennis team was topped by #13 Columbus State on Monday afternoon from CSU's Walden Tennis Center. SAU falls to 2-7 overall and Monday's matchup marked the fourth-consecutive top 25 opponent that the Muleriders have faced with the fifth one awaiting on Tuesday at 3 p.m. as Southern Arkansas will play #4 North Georgia.
The Muleriders dropped the doubles point despite battling at all three lines.
Kalley Smith and
Sarah Roy faced off against the Cougars' duo of Yelena Labat and Sara Ramirez, who are ranked #34 nationally, and battled before falling 6-4.
CSU overpowered the Mulerider Women in singles action.
Greta Wallin played Valentina Abrile close in a 6-2, 6-4 defeat, while
Lena Milosevic fell to #22 Neila Trklja at line one 6-1, 6-0.
