RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Following the first weekend of play for NCAA DII Baseball, the Great American Conference announced its inaugural weekly award winners of the 2022 season and garnering the league's Pitcher of the Week honor is Southern Arkansas' Jeremy Adorno.
 
A freshman transfer from Hill College, Adorno's Mulerider debut will forever be etched in program history as he delivered the sixth no-hitter in SAU's NCAA Era in a 12-0 win over Missouri Western at the Dugan Collegiate Invitational. The right-hander fired seven innings of no-hit baseball, recorded seven strikeouts and of the four baserunners that reached, none made it to second base.
 
Four of the Kissimmee, Florida native's innings were perfect and he induced six ground ball outs and forced six fly ball outs, while facing just two over the minimum.
 
The Muleriders return to action this weekend in Arkadelphia for three games at the Henderson State Invitational.
