Russellville, Ark. – The Great American Conference released their weekly picks for volleyball players of the week, and for the first time in 1,962 days, a Mulerider is included amongst the honorees.
Victoria White receives GAC Offensive Player of the Week for her exploits on Tuesday against Arkansas-Monticello. The freshman tallied 19 kills and only had one attack error against her for a total attack percentage of .581.
White becomes the first Mulerider to receive the honor under head coach
Lindsey Parks and the first to receive a weekly conference honor since Taylor Reaume got it on November 17
th, 2015.
The Kansas City native also becomes the first offensive player to receive the award since Serena LeDuff got the honor on October 5
th, 2015. This is the seventh time a Mulerider has received a GAC offensive weekly award, and the 23
rd time a Mulerider volleyball player has received a weekly award (offensive, defensive, setter).
In her rookie campaign, White has tallied 83 total kills, averaging 2.86 per set and she owns a .175 attack percentage, both of which are second on the team.
The Muleriders close out their regular season tonight against Harding; they will take on Henderson State in the first round of the conference tournament next Tuesday.
