Russellville, Ark. – The coaches of the GAC voted on who they believe to be favorites this spring in the conference, and both the Mulerider Men and Women's programs landed third on the poll.
The poll comes after the Muleriders opened their spring season last weekend at Mississippi College.
In both polls, only Oklahoma Baptist and Harding finished above the Muleriders – Oklahoma Baptist had a one-point advantage over Harding in the women's while they were both level on the men's side.
The Muleriders return All-GAC selections in
Sal Guli,
Carley Hale,
Liberty Henderson,
Annie Oliver and
Jordan Johnson, as well as cross country All-GAC selections in
Rob Kraus and
Cecilia Quesada.
The Muleriders compete this Sunday at the HendriX Invitational in Conway, hosted by Hendrix College; they then travel to Searcy the next weekend to compete in the Harding Invitational, hosted by Harding.
They wrap up the month of March by hosting the Dan Veach Invitational on March 26
th and 27
th. That will be the first of two meets the Muleriders host this spring, as they will also host the GAC Championships on April 16
th and 17
th.
The Muleriders will also compete at the ULM Warhawk Classic on April 9
th and 10
th and the Memphis Invitational on April 30
th and May 1
st.
