Ada, Okla. – The SAU Softball team completed their first conference sweep of the season today with a 6-1 victory over East Central.
The Muleriders were outhit by the hosts 5-4 but took advantage of a pair of errors in the second inning that allowed the visitors to score five runs in that frame.

Sarah Evans started that inning by reaching on errors by the Tigers' middle infielders. The first of four 
McKennah Sikes walks loaded the bases for the Muleriders before 
Maeson Grace drove in the first run through a walk of her own.
Jaxynn Dyson continued to swing a hot bat, driving in a pair of runs on an RBI double. 
Laina Suesue then followed with her own RBI double, also scoring a pair of runs to bring the score to 5-0.
The Tigers put a run on the board in the fourth inning; Dyson would cancel out that run in the top of the seventh inning with a sacrifice fly.
Sydney Wader picked up her third win of the week and second one in succession, throwing her second complete game against the Tigers. She struck out six while only allowing five hits.
The Muleriders improve to 9-3 on the season and 6-2 in conference play. They return to action on Wednesday against #2 Texas A&M-Commerce in a double-header in Commerce, Texas.
