Russellville, Ark. – The SAU Women's Basketball team, one day after taking a tough loss on the road to Harding, were back in action against division leaders Arkansas Tech. Despite making 10 threes and shooting 43.3 percent from the field, the Muleriders ultimately fell 90-82.
The Muleriders went 10-24 from three on the night, with
Diamond Morris being perfect on four attempts from range. The sophomore led all players with 20 points on 7-11 shooting from the field.
This was the second game this season that Morris scored 20 or more points; on the season, she is averaging a team-high 13.6 points per game; the Sheridan native also leads the team in steals and assists.
The Muleriders out-rebounded the Suns 39-38 and had 21 free-throw attempts to the hosts' four.

Kisi Young and
Ariana Guinn also scored in double figures. Jones scored 13 points, Young scored 11 points and Guinn scored 10 points, also grabbing a team-high six rebounds and dishing out a team-high three assists.
The Muleriders are back in action on Thursday when they host Henderson State. Monday's game versus Ouachita Baptist, a makeup game, has been cancelled due to projected inclement weather in the area.
