RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Facing off against the top ranked team in the Great American Conference, the Southern Arkansas University volleyball fell in three straight sets (18-25, 17-25, 17-25) despite holding a lead in each set to Arkansas Tech University on Thursday evening.
Victoria White led the SAU offense with 10 kills, followed by
Kenadee Poye (7) and
Abby Bermudez (7). White has now collected 10+ kills in each of the last three matches, and has finished with double digit kills 12 times this season.
Morgan Schuster is now two assists shy of 700 for the season, as she added a game high 27 assists, to go along with four digs.
Samantha Still led the defense with a game high 15 digs, followed by
Bailey Kirk and
Landry Rogers who both tallied seven. The Muleriders finished with 40 dis, while the Golden Suns collected 32.
Southern Arkansas will return to Magnolia next Tuesday, as they are set to take on Arkansas Monticello, which will be their second to last home game of the season. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m.
