MAGNOLIA – The SAU Women's Basketball team returned to the court for the first time in two weeks when they hosted Harding tonight, dropping their conference contest to the Bisons 87-80.
Carissa Caples led all scorers with 29 points as the Bison leapt out to a 51-36 halftime lead.
The Muleriders only shot 35 percent from the field in the first half and shot 6-24 from three for the game.
Diamond Morris and
Ariana Guinn led the scoring, each with 14 points; Morris also assisted three baskets and Guinn made a pair of threes.
Kisi Young scored 12 points, grabbing a team-high seven rebounds and dishing out a team-high six assists.
Jessica Jones joined her teammates in double figures with 10 points and a pair of three made on the night.
The Muleriders are 1-3 on the season; they return to action on Saturday when they host Arkansas Tech.
