Ada, Okla. – Kylie Warren led all scorers with 20 points on the night as the SAU Women's Basketball team claimed victory over East Central on the road tonight. The sophomore shot 6-8 from the field, including 5-7 from three-point range and made all three of her free throw attempts.
This is the second time this season Warren has scored 20 or more points, scoring 22 points against Mississippi College on November 16
th.
Two other Muleriders,
Alyssa Crase and
Ariana Guinn, also scored in double digits – both scoring 12 points. Crase shot 5-6 from the field and 2-3 from the charity stripe while Guinn went 3-5 from the field, making one of her two three-point attempts.
Crase also grabbed a pair of rebounds, dished out two assists and grabbed three steals while Guinn assisted three times, and shot a team-high eight free throws.
The Muleriders forced 25 turnovers and outscored the Tigers 41-22 in quarters two and three as this marks their first win in the state of Oklahoma since February 10, 2018 against Northwestern Oklahoma.
The Muleriders' 10-3 start matches their best start to a season since 2015-16.
The Muleriders play #21 Southeastern Oklahoma on Saturday in Durant.
