Weatherford, Okla. – The SAU Women's Basketball team allowed a season-high 103 points tonight against Southwestern Oklahoma, only scoring 85 points of their own while turning the ball over 34 times while also committing 34 fouls.
The Muleriders, who shot 40 percent from the field, allow more than 100 points to an opponent for the first time since December 1
st, 2012 against Southwestern Oklahoma in Weatherford.
The Bulldogs were able to turn 34 turnovers into 38 points off turnovers to the Muleriders' 14.
Alyssa Crase recorded her second double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The senior went 5-8 from the field and was one of three Muleriders to break double figures.
Kisi Young led the Muleriders in scoring with 14 points on 5-7 shooting and making all four of her free-throw attempts. The Magnolia native also grabbed five rebounds.
Sandwiched between Young and Crase in scoring was
Kylie Warren. The sophomore scored 12 points, going 3-5 from deep in 19 minutes as she dealt with foul trouble on the night.
Diamond Morris and
Doriana Brown both grabbed six rebounds, and freshman
Jenae Jennings scored her first collegiate basket on a layup in the fourth quarter.
The Muleriders are now 13-6 on the season and 7-6 in conference play. They sit one game ahead of Northwestern Oklahoma, whom they will play on Saturday.
