Arkadelphia, Ark. - The Muleriders return to action this weekend as they take on a quartet of teams as part of the HSU Invitational in Arkadelphia.
The Muleriders are 2-1 on the season after winning the final two games of their weekend series against Washburn. The Muleriders were led offensively by 
Cooper King as the third baseman hit .875 for the weekend en route to being named GAC co-player of the week. For the weekend, King hit a double and a triple as well as drew two walks to have an on-base percentage of .909, and also owns a slugging percentage of 1.250. The Mulerider pitching staff fanned 35 Ichabods this past weekend, including nine from starter 
Garrett Walker and eight from starter 
Tanner Vaught. The Muleriders also found relief from the bullpen in the form of 
Matt Kortendick, who came in relief of game two for 
Garrett Walker and proceeded to pitch five scoreless innings to earn the Muleriders' first win of the season.
The Muleriders will take on Arkansas-Fort Smith, Northwest Missouri State, Delta State and Missouri Western State this weekend. After this weekend slate of games, the Muleriders will travel back up to Arkadelphia next weekend to open conference play against Henderson State.Â
