Arkadelphia, Ark. – The SAU Women's Basketball team opened their conference schedule against Henderson State tonight, and a cold shooting night saw the Muleriders not able to upset the Reddies inside the Duke Wells Center.
The Muleriders missed all 13 of their three-point attempts and shot 28.2 percent from the field, including 2-14 from the field in the fourth quarter that saw the hosts outscore the Muleriders by 10 points.
Senior
Alyssa Crase posted her second double-double as a Mulerider with 12 points and 12 rebounds in 25 minutes on the floor, including nine rebounds on the offensive glass. The Greenwood native also grabbed three steals on the night.
Ariana Guinn led the Muleriders in scoring with 14 points. The sophomore went 8-9 from the line and grabbed five rebounds in 21 minutes.
Diamond Morris also scored in double digits, with 10 points, including 4-7 from the charity stripe. The freshman recorded a team-high four steals in 22 minutes on the floor.
The Muleriders are back in action on Saturday as they host preseason favorites Harding inside the W. T. Watson Center.
