Searcy, Ark. – The SAU Volleyball team's losing streak to Harding was extended to seven games, with the last win coming back in 2015, as the Muleriders dropped tonight's contest 3-0, dropping set one 25-16.
The Muleriders gave the hosts all they could handle in sets two and three, ultimately bested 26-24 and 25-23 as the Bisons put up a .315 attack percentage, the second-best number the Muleriders have allowed this season.
The Muleriders themselves hit .211 on the night, the fourth time they hit better than .200 on the season, and the 17 attack errors are the third fewest for the Muleriders on the season.
Alana Perez once again led all players on the floor in digs with 15. This marks the third game in a row the libero has recorded ten or more digs, and has 39 digs in seven sets played this week, or 5.57 digs per set.
Seven Powers led the Muleriders' attacking effort with 13 kills and a .167 hitting percentage. Like Perez, this is the third game in a row the senior hitter has buried ten or more kills.
Bailey Kirk recorded ten digs, the second game running in double digits, and
Morgan Schuster assisted 33 times tonight. The freshman setter has 76 assists this week, or 10.86 assists per set.
The Muleriders head to Oklahoma for the first of two times this season, facing Northwestern Oklahoma and Southwestern Oklahoma State next weekend.
