Alva, Okla. – The SAU Volleyball team, on the first day of their two day, two game swing in Oklahoma, dropped their opening game against Northwestern Oklahoma as the Rangers kept the Muleriders at arms' length for the first two sets before the Muleriders gave the Rangers all they could handle before the hosts claimed the victory 31-29.
The Muleriders hit an impressive .325 in the third set, tallying 20 of their 34 kills in the set.
Seven Powers led the attack for the Muleriders, hitting .212 on the night while recording a joint-game high 12 kills.
Morgan Gross and
Gabby Thrower each recorded eight kills, with Gross hitting .263.
Bailey Cagle, recording five kills, also blocked a game-high six blocks.
Bailey Kirk led the team in digs with eight, just ahead of Powers with seven and
Alana Perez and
Kayley Davis, who both recorded six.
The Muleriders finish their Oklahoma swing tomorrow morning in Weatherford as they face Southwestern Oklahoma.
