Durant, Okla. – The SAU Volleyball team kicked off their second of two Oklahoma trips on the season today in a conference matchup against Southeastern Oklahoma. The back and forth affair ultimately went in favor of the hosts as the Muleriders hung close in all three sets.
The Muleriders outhit the Savage Storm in set one, with both teams recording 13 kills.
Set two saw the visitors stave off the Storm, coming back from 23-20 to take a 25-24 lead; however, the Storm scored the next three points to take the set.
Seven Powers was once again the top attacker for the Muelriders with a game-high 13 kills. The senior notched another double-double, adding in a team-high ten digs.
Lauren Smith blocked a game-high four attacks and
Morgan Schuster added in 25 assists.
Kayley Davis joined Powers in recording ten digs on the night.
The Muleriders conclude their road swing tomorrow at noon against East Central.
