FORT SMITH, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas Mulerider Volleyball team ventured out of conference on Tuesday night to matchup with nationally-prominent Arkansas-Fort Smith (14-5) from inside the Stubblefield Center. UAFS claimed the first two sets of the match, before the Muleriders fought back to take set three 25-23. In that set, Southern Arkansas practically matched the Lions stat for stat as both squads attacked at .200 with UAFS committing one more error and recording one more kill. The difference for the Muleriders came defensively as SAU recorded five blocks in the set to force a fourth frame.
