EDMOND, Okla. – A seven-stroke improvement as a team on Tuesday afternoon at the UCO Classic helped the Southern Arkansas Mulerider Women's golf team climb two spots to finish in 10
th place among the 17-team field. SAU finished with a 661 (+93) and was one of four teams to climb two or more spots in the final round of play.
Aiding that climb up the leaderboard was a six-stroke improvement from sophomore
Mackenzy Turner and a four-stroke improvement by freshman
Eva Renner. That duo along with junior Oliva Faught each finished at 166 (+24) and tied for 48
th. Freshmen
Chelsea Chow and
Carolina Kysiak both finished one stroke back at 167 (+25). Sophomore
Peyton Gasaway shot 185 as an individual.
In all, the Muleriders notched 75 pars and combined for ten birdies. Turner and Kysiak each delivered 16 pars, while Chow and Faught both collected 15 pars. Faught led the team in par-3 scoring at +2.
The SAU Women close out their fall schedule at the Arkansas Tech Fall Invitational in Danville, Arkansas on October 21 and 22.
