Magnolia, Ark. – The SAU Women's Basketball team dropped their GAC home opener against the Henderson State Reddies in a game that saw the Muleriders not score a point in the first quarter.
The Muleriders fell down 17-0 at the end of the first quarter, a margin that saw the Reddies keep the Muleriders at arm's length the rest of the way, outscoring the Muleriders 46-42 the last three quarters.
Freshman
Kylie Warren led the scoring for the Muleriders, dropping 13 points on 3-11 shooting, including 2-9 shooting from behind the arc and 5-6 from the free-throw line. Warren added two rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Junior
Erin Brinkley scored 12 points in 34 minutes of action. The Tyler, Texas native chipped in three assists and a rebound.
Senior
Alyssa Crase led the effort on the glass, grabbing six rebounds as well as scoring two points. Junior
Brette Wacha was right behind her as she grabbed five rebounds.
The Muleriders hit the road to open their conference road slate on Saturday, as they take a trip up to Searcy to take on Harding.
