Lady Muleriders drop in-region tilt at Missouri S&T

ROLLA, Mo. – Freshmen Ariana Guinn and Kylie Warren combined for 27 points as both players came off the bench and three other Lady Muleriders followed with six points each, but Southern Arkansas dropped its in-region tilt with Missouri S&T 78-58 on Saturday afternoon inside Gibson Arena.

SAU (1-3) trailed by seven after one quarter and carried a 15-point deficit into the intermission. The Lady Muleriders matched the Miners point for point in the third quarter as both sides scored 19 points, while Missouri S&T scored a game-high 22 points in the final ten minutes to claim the victory.

All 11 of Warren's points came in the second half, while Guinn scored half of her points in the final two quarters. Midway through the fourth quarter, Southern Arkansas managed to cut the Miner lead to just 11 points, but would be unable to climb back any further.

The Lady Muleriders hit the court again on November 29 at 5:30 p.m. as they open up Great American Conference play against Henderson State inside the W.T. Watson Center.
