NEW ORLEANS, La. – After an 11th-place overall finish in the Women's 400 Meter Hurdles at the 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Southern Arkansas junior sprinter
Kenisha Bryant has been officially lauded with All-America Second-Team honors in the event as it was announced by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday.

In earning All-America honors, Bryant becomes the first women's track and field athlete at SAU to achieve that accolade since 1995.
At the DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Bryant's lone event was the Women's 400 Meter Hurdles. Having qualified for nationals with the 15
th-fastest time in DII in the event, Bryant finished fifth in her heat and 11th overall with a time of 1:00.46.
Prior to that, Bryant had earned USTFCCCA All-Central Region honors in the event with a regular season best time of 1:00.23, which was the fifth-fastest time in the Central Region. That time also established a new SAU record as she bettered her previous record time of 1:00.99 set back in 2016.
