PITCHING DECISIONS-GAME 1
W: Kaylee Garner (15-0)
L: Michelle Sorensen (12-11)

HOW IT HAPPENED-GAME 1
  • Southern Arkansas made a break-through in the top of the third inning after Maddie Dow sent a ball out of Dee White Field.
  • In the fifth inning, a pair of back-to-back walks to Brooke Goad and Dow set up the inning to add another run to the board on a batted ball by Jill Roye that was immediately followed with an error that plated Goad.
  • SAU's offense blew up in the top of the sixth inning after scoring five runs on four hits. A single from Tyler Casada set the tone at the start of the inning before she was later plated on a single from Yulissa Hinojosa. Goad knocked in a pair of runs on a single to right centerfield that extended the SAU lead to 5-0. A pair of walks to Dow and Roye loaded the bases for Megan Godoyo who subsequently belted a 2-RBI single to close out the frame.
  • The Reddies did not go down quietly as they plated a run in the bottom of the seventh on one hit, but it wasn't enough to make a come-back, resulting in a final score of 7-1.

IN THE CIRCLE-GAME 1
  • Starting pitcher, Garner, picked up the win in the circle for SAU with a tremendous 3-hit performance through five innings pitched.
  • Garner did not allow any runs in her pitching debut.
  • Jill Roye relieved Garner in the sixth inning and allowed only one run on three hits in two innings pitched.

AT THE PLATE-GAME 1
  • Goad and Godoyo both combined for four RBI's in the game with a hit a piece.
  • Dow registered an RBI in the game on a homerun while also racking up a pair of walks and runs scored.
  • Casada and Hinojosa each had a hit.
  • SAU drew eight walks in the game.

PITCHING DECISIONS- GAME 2
W: Victoria Taylor (15-3)
L: Sydney Bonner (2-6)

HOW IT HAPPENED-GAME 2
  • In the top of the third, SAU scratched an early lead after scoring a pair of runs on two hits in the frame. With bases loaded and no outs, Roye plated both of the runs in the inning with a double in the left centerfield gap.
  • An inning later, the Lady Muleriders struck again with a 3-run inning on four hits. Monica Islava led off that frame with a solo bomb out to centerfield. Singles from Hinojosa and Goad followed with a four-pitch walk to Dow juiced the bases for a Roye who answered with 2-RBI double to left centerfield that cushioned SAU's lead, 5-0.
  • SAU's starting pitcher, Victoria Taylor, pitched a hitless game until the bottom of the fifth inning.
  • The Lady Muleriders loaded the bases again in sixth inning and added another pair of runs to their lead, making it a 7-0 game as the Reddies did not score any runs the remainder of the game.

IN THE CIRCLE-GAME 2
  • Taylor picked up the win in the circle for SAU after tossing a 2-hitter through seven innings and striking out five.
  • Taylor held the Reddies hitless until the fifth inning and did not give up any runs.

AT THE PLATE-GAME 2
