Leading Off
The Southern Arkansas baseball team is back at their home field this weekend as they are scheduled to take on GAC opponent Harding. Statistically, the Muleriders enter play hitting .311 as a team and have a 3.75 team ERA. Through 36 games, the Muleriders have scored 265 runs offensively while the pitching staff lays claim to four shutouts.

Individually, the Muleriders have three players hitting over .350 with Trevor Rucker leading the club at .398. Jacob Richardson is next in hitting at .380 followed by Cortland McPherson at .373. Redshirt freshman Blake Hall is hitting .315 from the leadoff spot in the order. Rucker leads the team in home runs with nine and six Muleriders have collected 20 or more RBIs as well.

On the mound, Dalton Algiene (9-1) leads the team in wins with nine while also sporting the lowest ERA among starters at 1.85. Additionally, Algiene has contributed to all four of SAU's shutouts while also leading the team in strikeouts with 77 in 63.1 innings pitched.

For Harding, the Bison are hitting .248 as a team with 36 doubles, seven triples, 11 home runs, and 149 runs scored. On the mound, the Bison have a 5.47 team ERA and have struck out 198 opposing batters while issuing 118 bases on balls.

The leading hitter is Grant Guest at .315. Chris Taylor is second at .299. Luke VanDover leads the team in homeruns with three. Austin Allen has the lowest ERA among starters at 4.42. Reed Roberts leads the team in strikeouts with 41.
