HOW IT HAPPENED – Game 1
- In the opener, SAU jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead thanks to a pair of runs in the top of the first. The first of those scored on a double down the left field line by Jacob Richardson while the second run was forced home on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Mark Fontenot.
- That 2-0 score would hold until the top of the sixth inning when the Muleriders plated four more runs to make it 6-0. In that inning, Richardson led off with a double and consecutive walks loaded the bases for Cory Gallegos. Gallegos then drew a walk himself to force home Richardson. A batter later, Josey Langston singled home a pair of runs on a single to left field. After another walk, Blake Hall hit a sacrifice fly to right field to chase home the fourth run of the inning.
- Two innings later in the eighth, the Muleriders added two more runs to bring the game to its eventual final of 8-0.
- In that eighth inning, SAU got a bases loaded walk to Richardson and Rucker scored the second run on a wild pitch.
ON THE MOUND – Game 1
- Dalton Algiene got the start and pitched an absolute gem of a game as he limited the Tigers to no runs on just one hit in 8.0 innings. Algiene worked around a pair of walks and totaled seven strikeouts.
- Eric Schildt came on in relief of Algiene in the ninth and Schildt helped secure the combined shutout of the Tigers as he pitched a scoreless frame.
- Algiene has now been a part of all four of Southern Arkansas' shutouts this season, combing for two and tossing a pair of solo shutouts
AT THE PLATE – Game 1
- SAU totaled six hits in the game with three of those going for extra bases. Doubling in the game were Jacob Richardson (2) and Michael Page.
- Richardson and Page also registered multiple hits to pace the attack as each was 2-for-4. Richardson added two RBIs to his ledger and Josey Langston matched him in RBIs with two of his own as well.
- Blake Hall, Mark Fontenot and Cory Gallegos all picked up RBIs as well.

HOW IT HAPPENED – Game 2
- As they did in the opener, the Muleriders jumped out to an early lead, this time scoring three runs in the top of the first. In that inning, SAU scored their first run on a passed ball and then Mark Fontenot doubled home a pair of runs to make it 3-0, SAU.
- The Tigers, however, answered back with two runs of their own in the bottom of the frame, making it a one-run game through one inning of the scheduled seven-inning contest.
- After neither team scored in the second, SAU bolstered their lead to four runs, 6-2, on the strength of a bases-clearing double by Josey Langston.
- Langston's three-RBI extra-base hit, which served as the game's final runs, was clutch as it came with two outs in the inning.
ON THE MOUND – Game 2
- Kenneth Tabor picked up his first complete game of the season as he pitched all seven innings in the series finale. In the start, Tabor scattered seven hits and two allowed earned runs and struck out three.
- Tabor's two runs charged against him came in the first inning as he kept the Tigers out of the run column the remaining six innings.
AT THE PLATE – Game 2

- Most of the run production came from the bottom of the order as Mark Fontenot had two RBIs from the six-spot in the order and Josey Langston drove in three from the eight-hole.
- It was the second-straight game that Langston had multiple RBIs as he totaled five for the twin-bill
