HOW IT HAPPENED – Game 1
- The Muleriders took a 4-0 lead after plating four runs in the top of the third inning, but Southern Nazarene answered back with a four-spot of their own in the bottom half. Three of the four runs scored by SAU in that inning came on the strength of a three-run home run off the bat of James Trevanion, his first of the season.
- In the bottom of the fourth, Southern Nazarene capitalized on a pair of wild pitches to score twice and take a 6-4 lead.
- A two-run home run by Jacob Richardson in the top of the fifth, however, knotted the game at six-all.
- The Muleriders then regained the lead an inning later with a pair of runs in the sixth. The first run was driven in by Blake Hall on a double down the left field line. Hall later scored the second run on a passed ball.
- SAU continued to build on the lead in the seventh with three runs crossing the plate to make it 10-6 Muleriders. In that inning, SAU had two home runs, a two-run shot by Cortland McPherson and a solo job by Michael Page.
- In the top of the eighth, the Muleriders struck for five runs to swell their lead to 10 runs, 16-6. In that inning, the Muleriders got two more homers with the first being a solo shot by Rucker and the second a three-run home run by McPherson, his second of the game.
ON THE MOUND – Game 1
- Connor Wells got the start in game one, but was chased from it in the bottom of third as Southern Nazarene scored four runs that half inning to tie the game.

SAU's runs in the fourth scored on single by Michael Page, a double by Blake Hall and bases loaded walk to Jacob Richardson.
- In the sixth, SAU made it 7-0 on a solo home run by Trevor Rucker while also taking advantage of a throwing error by the Crimson Storm catcher on double-steal attempt.
- One more would be added to the Mulerider total in the top of the seventh as David LaFleur pinch-hit and belted a solo homer the other way down the right field line.

- Dalton Algiene got the start on the mound and was dominant once more, shutting out the Crimson Strom in seven innings. It is the second solo shutout of the season for Algiene and he has now pitched in the three team shutouts on the season, combining for one in his first start of the season.
