Fifth-ranked Lady Muleriders begin '17 campaign; host SAU Softball Invitational (GAME NOTES)

#5 Southern Arkansas begins their 2017 campaign at home for the secondstraight year as they are hosting the SAU Softball Invitational. on Friday, February 3 through Saturday, February 5. After a 53-11 season that culminated with a trip to the NCAA DII Women's College World Series, the Lady Muleriders have reloaded are a primed for a return to the game's biggest stage. This year's Invitational features five teams: Newman University, Southern Arkansas Tarleton State University, Texas A&M-Commerce, and Washburn. The action begins on Friday at 2 p.m. with a pair of games on both fields inside the Mulerider Softball Complex. The Lady Muleriders open their season at 4:30 on Dawson Field against Washburn.
