ADA, Okla. | The Lady Mulerider softball team combined for 15 runs on 14 hits in a double-header sweep against the East Central Tigers on Friday at Tiger Field. The first game was a 5-0 shutout and the second game ended early in five innings with a score of 10-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED- GAME 1
- A scoreless game made a turn in the Lady Mulerider's favor in the top of the fourth inning when Marina Duran blasted a solo bomb to left-centerfield to put SAU on the board.
- Starting pitcher, Victoria Taylor proceeded to strike out three batters in the next two innings before SAU cushioned their lead to 4-0 in the sixth.
- In that inning, a hit-by-pitch to Maddie Dow along with a walk drawn by Jill Roye put two on base for Monica Islava as she plated a run with a single to left field. Tyler Casada banged a double to right field two batters later plating a pair of runs that gave SAU their aforementioned 4-0 advantage.
- SAU's fifth and final run came in the seventh inning off the bat of Dow as she as she belted a solo homerun to right field to conclude the game with a 5-0 shut-out victory

HOW IT HAPPENED- GAME 2
- The eight-run first inning was set up with a pair of walks drawn by Brooke Goad and Dow before one of those runs was plated on a fielding error on a batted ball off the bat of Roye. Duran followed with an RBI single through the left side that plated Dow.
- In that same frame, Islava stroked a 3-run bomb over right-field fence to buffer SAU's lead to 5-0. A few batters later, Goad pulled a double into the right-centerfield gap that scored a pair of runs. The final run in that inning came off the bat of Roye that plated Goad.
- ECU put a run up in the second inning as Breecia Crawford scored on a passed ball after reaching base on a double to right-centerfield.
- After Dow drew her third walk of the game, Roye plated a run on a single through the right side in the top of the fifth inning. Duran proceeded to score pinch runner Sydney Johnson on a fielder's choice that gave the Lady Muleriders all the insurance runs they would need before shutting out the Tigers in the bottom of the fifth to claim the 10-1 run-rule victory.

- Islava led the offense with four RBI's on the day on a pair of hits with a homerun and a pair of runs scored.
- Duran followed with three RBI's in the double-header on a pair of hits along with two runs scored.
- Dow reached base on all eight of her plate appearances with a pair of hit-by-pitches, four walks, and a pair of hits including a solo homerun.
- Goad and Casada each collected a pair of RBI's on the day.
- Roye collected three hits in her eight appearances at the plate with a pair of walks and runs scored and an RBI.
- Megan Godoyo registered three hits and a run scored.
- Taylor received the win in the circle in game one striking out six batters in seven innings pitched with her first shutout of the year.
- Kaylee Garner picked up the win in the circle in game two allowing only one run in five innings on a pair of hits.

- Caitlin Paolini, Aundrea Hamric, and Crawford led the Tiger offense with a pair of hits on the day.
- Catherine Barrera collected a hit.
- Kelbie Crelia took the loss in the circle in game one giving up five runs on eight hits in seven innings pitched.
- The pitching changed hands three times in game two with Karlie Milburn taking the loss after giving up eight runs on three hits.
