Ada, Okla. | The Lady Mulerider softball team swept East Central in a double header on Saturday to claim the series sweep against the Tigers. The first game went into 10 innings with a 4-3 final score. Head coach
Jason Anderson then earned his 400
th career win in game two with a 10-0 run-rule victory that ended in five innings.

HOW IT HAPPENED- GAME 1
- East Central scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning after Alissa Taylor homered to left-centerfield.
- SAU came back to tie it up in the third after Jill Roye banged a double to the right-centerfield gap that plated Maddie Dow who previously doubled to left field.
- In the top of the fourth, the Lady Muleriders broke the tie after scoring a pair of runs on one hit. In that frame, a couple of fielding errors put two Lady Muleriders on the base paths before Brooke Goad tallied an RBI on a double to left field. The second run of that inning came after Rachel Miller scored on a wild pitch that brought the score to 3-1.
- In the bottom of the seventh inning, a 2-RBI single off the bat of Jaclyn Willis tied the game at 3-all that sent the game into extras.
- A hitless next two innings from both teams led to an exciting tenth inning for SAU as Tyler Casada blasted a solo bomb to centerfield that prompted a 4-3 victory win for the Lady Muleriders.
FOR SAU
- Goad, Roye, and Casada each collected a pair of hits in the game and an RBI.
- Dow, Miller, and Yulissa Hinojosa each registered a hit.
- Jill Roye picked up the win in the circle not allowing any runs or hits in three innings pitched.
FOR THE OPPOSITION
- Lindsay Wade took the loss in the circle after giving up three runs on six hits in seven innings pitched.
- Mariah Ewy was 3-for3 at the plate with a run scored.
- Willis collected a pair of RBI's on a hit.

HOW IT HAPPENED-GAME 2
- Goad got the first inning of the game started with a solo dinger to right field before Megan Godoyo collected the second RBI of the inning with an RBI single to right-centerfield that scored Roye.
- In the top of the third, the Lady Mulerider offense exploded as they tacked on six runs on three hits. In that frame, Godoyo registered the first RBI of that inning with a single up the middle that plated Roye who formerly reached base on a fielding error.
- In that same inning, a bases loaded walk issued to Miller extended SAU's lead to 4-0 following an error in the field that plated an additional pair of runs. A single to right-center off the bat of Goad plated the last pair of runs of that frame and put the run-rule in effect after giving SAU an 8-0 advantage heading into the bottom of the third.
- After a quick 1-2-3 inning, the Lady Muleriders added a couple more runs to their score on a pair of fielding errors to command the rest of the game and capture the series sweep over the Tigers in five innings.
FOR SAU
- Goad led the offense in the second game with three RBI's on a pair of hits and one run scored.
- Godoyo had a 3-for-3 effort at the dish with a pair of hits and one run scored.
- Islava was 2-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.
- Garner received the win in the circle only giving up three hits and striking out five.
FOR THE OPPOSITION
- Crelia took the loss in the circle after giving up eight runs on five hits in a little over two innings pitched.
- Willis, Taylor, and Allison collected all three of ECU's hits.
