SHAWNEE, Okla. – The Lady Mulerider Basketball team showed resilient effort throughout Saturday's GAC matchup with Oklahoma Baptist as four Lady Muleriders scored in double figures to help Southern Arkansas stay within reach of the Lady Bison's lead that eventually saw the Lady Muleriders lose the close contest, 87-96.
The Lady Mulerider's 49 points in the first half are the most Southern Arkansas has scored since scoring 54 against LeMoyne Owen in December of 2015, and was the most scored against a Division II opponent since scoring 49 against Rogers State on November 13, 2013.
Two Lady Muleriders reached double figure points in the first half as Kimberly Crown led the team with 17 and Olivia McWilliams followed with 16 to pace SAU to just a three-point deficit of OKBU at the intermission. Southern Arkansas outshot the Lady Bison from the field as they produced a field goal percentage of 58.8% (20-of-34) versus OKBU's 47.1% (16-of-34) to trail as much as five points in the half while also tying the score on five separate occasions.
Four lead changes in the third quarter eventually saw SAU tie the game at 71-all on an Anna Djedjemel layup with 0:49 seconds left in the quarter, but the Lady Bison later capitalized on four SAU turnovers in the fourth quarter to run away with the final lead prompting a final decision of 96-87.

- SAU's 91 total points in the game were the most scored since the overtime loss to Oklahoma Baptist on February of 2016.
- Four Lady Muleriders scored in double figures: Crown (24), McWilliams (22), Djedjemel (17), Ramiah Henry (10).
- Tuana Dinc led SAU with six total rebounds and Crown followed with five.
- Djedjemel registered four of SAU's nine total steals
