Leading OffThe Southern Arkansas softball team looks to continue the best start to a season in program history as they take to the road for their first true road games of the season as
they are set to play Southern Nazarene for a four-game weekend series.
This will be the Lady Muleriders' second Great American Conference series of the season as they opened up the conference slate with a home series against Oklahoma Baptist. In that series, the Lady Muleriders' pitching staff remained difficult to solve as they tossed four shutouts and allowed just 11 hits total by the Lady Bison.
This weekend, pitching figures to be at the forefront once more as the two teams sport the lowest team ERAs in the conference as Southern Nazarene's 1.95 ERA ranks second and SAU's 0.30 ERA tops the GAC. Additionally, the two pitching staffs also have the top two strikeout totals in the league as SAU's 90 Ks ranks second and Souther Nazarene's 92 leads the league.
