The Southern Arkansas baseball team enters play this weekend with a 28-8 overall record and a 14-7 mark in the GAC. That 14-7 mark in the GAC has the Muleriders in a tie for second-place behind Arkansas Tech. In their most recent action, the Muleriders knocked off a very good LSU-Shreveport team, 7-2 in mid-week play. In their most recent conference action, the Muleriders got two great pitching performances as they took a pair of one-run victories over SE Oklahoma.

The East Central baseball team enters play this weekend with a 20-14 overall record and a 9-9 mark in the GAC. This past weekend, the Tigers took on Arkansas-Monticello in a conference series. The Tigers would drop all three games to the Boll Weevils.

Statistically, the Muleriders are hitting .300 as a team and have five starters hitting .300 or better. Jon Phillips currently leads the team in average at .382 (50-for-131). Tyler Cameron leads the team in RBIs with 34. Carver Rademacher has the most homeruns with five and doubles with 13. In terms of pitching, SAU has 3.69 team ERA and four of their regular starters have ERAs in the three's. Dylan Lynn leads the staff with six wins. Janson Carr currently leads the team in ERA with a 1.37 in nine apperances and five starts. Preston Gray has been the Muleriders' closer and he has nine saves on the year.

For ECU, they hit .287 as a team and have five players over .300. In pitching, ECU has a 5.09 team ERA. Icezack Flemming leads the team in win with six and strikeouts with 79 in 59.1 innings pitched. Oscar Gonzalez has the lowest ERA among starters with a 3.69 ERA in 10 apperances and seven starts.
