Leading Off
The No. 4-ranked Southern Arkansas baseball team hits the road for a GAC series against Henderson State this weekend. Last weekend, the Muleriders rebounded from a game-one loss to Ouachita Baptist by taking both ends of last Saturday's doubleheader to claim the series, 2-1. In their mid-week game this week, the Muleriders defeated No. 11-ranked Arkansas-
Monticello by a score of 7-4. The Muleriders held a 7-0 lead heading into the ninth inning when the Boll Weevils rallied for four runs to make the game close.

SAU is currently led in hitting by Jon Phillips as the senior transfer is hitting .416 (32-for-77). Six other Muleriders are hitting over .300 as the team is hitting .315. In terms of power, Carver Rademacher has displayed the most as he leads the team with five HRs. He also leads the team in RBIs with 23. Two other Muleriders have 19 or more RBIs. In terms of pitching, the Muleriders sport a 3.68 team ERA with their three conference starters having ERAs under 3.50. Dylan Lynn anchors the staff as the ace, but Timothy Buchanan leads the team in wins with four and Janson Carr has yet to allow an earned run in 14.1 innings pitched.
For Henderson State, they have two players hitting over .300 as they hit only .239 as a team. In terms of pitching, the Reddies are led by reliever Luke Tebbetts who is 3-0 with a 1.74 ERA.
