ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas softball team concluded their 2013 regular season with a pair of one-run losses to Ouachita Baptist on Sunday afternoon at Sully Anderson Field.

In the opener, the Lady Muleriders' (26-28, 16-18 GAC) offense was stymied as they collected two hits in a 1-0 loss in 10 innings. In the nightcap, the Lady Muleriders took an early 1-0 lead, but ended up losing another pitcher's duel, 2-1.

Hanna Gill took the tough loss in the opener as she allowed just the one unearned run in nine complete innings of work.  Taylor Clifton was his hit with the loss in the second game as she allowed two earned runs in 4.2 innings of work.

Despite the pair of losses to close out the regular season, the Lady Muleriders will be making their way to their second consecutive conference tournament. Last year, the Lady Muleriders entered the tournament as the No. 6-seed and were one game away from making it to the championship game as they won their first two games of the tournament.

This year, the Lady Muleriders will enter the tournament as the No. 5-seed and will take on No. 4-seed Arkansas-Monticello on Thursday April 25 at 4:00 p.m. More information on the upcoming tournament can be found at www.greatamericanconference.com
