Colton Strother helped the Muleriders avoid the series sweep to Henderson State as he picked up the win in the series finale on Sunday after nearly going the distance.

In the start, Strother would enter the ninth inning with a shutout in hand, but a ninth inning Henderson State rally would break up the shutout bid and chase Strother from the start with two outs in the frame.

Prior to the ninth, Strother had scattered four hits and struck out four (all looking).

The start was his first of the season.
