Roman Timmerman had his best tournament of his young collegiate career as the true freshman finished tied for third at the Henderson State Fall Invitational. Timmerman's best individual finish comes in just his second collegiate tournament. In the opening round, Timmerman shot a 77, but bounced back later that day to shoot even-par (72) in round two.

That improved second round score placed Timmerman in a tie for 12th among the 69 golfer field. In the final round, Timmerman matched his second round score with another even-par effort and that score vaulted him near the top of the leaderboard with a three-round total of 221 (+5) to place in a tie for third. Timmerman was just one stroke back of runner-up behind Henderson's Nick Shapiro
