Jessica is entering her first season with the Muleriders. Before arriving in Magnolia, Jessica played at McHenry County College.
 
2024 (Sophomore): Played in 33 matches and 105 sets…Totaled 295 kills and 2.81 kills per set…Recorded four assists and 64 digs alongside 50 total blocks
 
2023 (Freshman): Played in 35 matches and 110 total sets…Totaled 198 kills and 1.80 kills per set…Recorded 10 digs and 47 total blocks.
 
Personal: Jessica is a native of Ingleside, Illinois and attended Grant Community High School before beginning her collegiate playing career at McHenry County College. She is the daughter of Matt and Karen Porten and is the sister to Scott (brother) and Nicole (sister) Porten. During her time at McHenry she earned Frist Team NJCAA Region 4 selection along with First Team All-Conference. She also earned multiple academic honors such as the Dick Durant Academic Excellence award and the Presidents list all four semesters. She played club volleyball for Precision Volleyball Club. During her time at SAU, Jessica will pursue a degree in Business Management.
