Zac is entering his third season with the Muleriders.
 
2024-25 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in 21 games seeing 196 minutes of action…Shot 18-48 (37.5%) from the field, 16-45 (35%) from beyond the arc, and 4-4 (100%) from the free throw line…Totaled 26 rebounds and 18 assists.

Personal: Zac is a native of Hot Springs, Arkansas and graduated from Lake Hamilton High School. He is the son of Blair and Scotty Pennington and the brother to Zane, Zoey, and Zaylee. His brother Zane is in his freshman year on the basketball team at SAU. Zane received many awards in high school including, three time All-State and All-Conference honoree, two time ARBCA Top five player, state record for most three pointers made in a half (10), second all-time in career scoring and first in career assists at Lake Hamilton, second all-time in the state for most assists in a game (18), 1,500 point scorer, Lake Hamilton school record for free throw percentage. During his time at SAU, Zac has been named to the GAC honor roll. During his time at SAU, he plans to pursue a degree in K-12 Physical Education and Health.
