Biography

Carter is entering his first season with the Muleriders after transferring from Walters State Community College.
 
2024-25 (Sophomore WSCC): Played in 29 games while starting in five…Played in 562 total minutes while shooting 49.5 percent from field goal range…Shot 52.2 percent from three-point range…73.1 percent free throw shooter…Scored 137 points
 
2023-24 (Freshman WSCC): Played in 32 games but did not make a start…Played 428 total minutes while shooting 42.6 percent from the field…Shot 27.8 percent from three-point range…75 percent free throw shooter…Scored 69 points
 
Personal: Carter is a native of Rogersville, Tennessee and graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School. Cater is the son of Beth and John Metz and the brother to Amelia (sister) Metz. His sister Amelia is a track and field athlete at Elon University. Carter has a long list of high school accomplishments including, being a 1,000-point scorer, high school state champion, leading scorer in the area his junior year (21.3 ppg), best free throw percentage in Tennessee junior year (92.2%), First Team All-Conference, and being selected for the BCAT State All-Star game. While in college at Walters State Community College, Carter amassed a 49-12 record over two years while being a team captain for both years. He was part of the WSCC team to make the sweet 16 of the JUCO National Tournament. While at SAU, Carter will pursue a degree in Finance.
